Highland Dance is our passion!

A celebration of the Scottish spirit, Highland dancing is an amazing combination of strength, agility, movement, music, and costume. Similar to ballet and Irish dancing, Highland Dance is a style of competitive solo dancing that was developed in the Scottish Highlands over 100 years ago.
Highland dancing is performed along with traditional Highland bagpipe music, and Highland dancers wear specialized shoes called ghillies. Although it originated in Scotland, Highland dancing is performed by dancers all around the world.
At Lindsay Rose Dance Company we strive to have each dancer reach their potential while supporting and encouraging their love for dance. We hope to welcome you to the LRDC family!
